PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer for electronic paper preventing disorder of an image of electronic paper after printing and preventing adhesion of colored charged particles on a substrate. SOLUTION: The printer 130 for electronic paper includes a latent image carrier 102 carrying an electrostatic latent image formed for transfer on a surface of the electronic paper 50 having colored charged particles sealed between facing substrates. Charge removing means 123, 124 brought into contact with the electronic paper 50 to remove the charge and a charging stabilization part 120 with electric potential maintained through which the electronic paper 50 passes are formed at the downstream side of the latent image carrier 102. Because the electric potential of the facing members of the charging stabilization part 120 is held at equal electric potential, an unnecessary electric field is not generated in the charging stabilization part 120. Therefore, the image of the electronic paper 50 passing through the inside is not disordered. Further, because the charge removing means 123, 124 are brought into contact with the surfaces of the electronic paper 50, the electric charge of the surfaces are reliably removed.
