PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a method of effectively evaluating a design value in design of a lens device by a managing method using orthogonal arrays. SOLUTION: A first combination table and a second combination table are direct-product arranged, and level width of a plurality of factors such as surface space, axial misalignment, inclination, surface shape and refractive indexes of a plurality of lenses is laid out to the first combination table, and a direction of variation of the plurality of factors is laid out to the second combination table. An overall characteristic value on a condition based on the first and second combination tables direct-product arranged is calculated for each combination, so as to derive the factor which largely influences the overall characteristic value.
