<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collet capable of not only being easily and surely attached to a predetermined relative position to a balance staff, but also of controlling the misalignment to the balance staff minimum, and to provide a hair spring structure containing the collet, a balance wheel, a governor escapement mechanism and a mechanical watch. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The collet 1 constituting the hairspring structure of the balance wheel of the governor escapement mechanism of the mechanical watch is configured of a long material 70 having a pair of free ends 72a, 73a and includes a pair of end parts 72, 73, each of which contains corresponding free end, and its body 71 continuously connected to end parts of the opposite side of the free ends of the end part. The body 71 is configured so as to be fixed to a balance staff 10, by nipping the outer circumference of the balance staff, and the pair of the end parts 72, 73 cross each other in the extended direction of the axis line of the rotating center of the balance staff 10.
