<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refractory constructing method of a channel induction heating device capable of holding molten iron without breaking a sintered layer with which the molten iron is kept into contact in a sintering operation of a ramming material by power distribution to a metallic core. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this method of coating an outer surface 13 of the metallic core 12 for forming a runner 11 of the channel induction heating device 10 with a coating material including an aggregate and glass powder with a binder hardenable at a room temperature, placing the same on a prescribed position in a steel shell 14, and charging and tamping down the ramming material 15 between the metallic core 12 and the steel shell 14, the coating material including the aggregate of a MgO system or Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>-MgO spinel system is used when the ramming material 15 is a MgO system or a mixture system of Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>-MgO spinel and MgO, and the coating material including the aggregate of Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>system or Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>-MgO spinel system is used, when the ramming material 15 is composed of Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>system or a mixture system of Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>-MgO spinel and Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>.
