PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of taking out a sleeve printing plate, capable of securing sufficiently printing precision, and capable of taking out easily the sleeve printing plate mounted on a plate cylinder. SOLUTION: The present invention discloses the method of taking out the sleeve printing plate 2 mounted on an outer circumferential face of the plate cylinder 1, from the plate cylinder 1, the plate cylinder 1 is provided with air supply means 17a, 17b for injecting air toward the outer circumferential face, and the sleeve printing plate 2 is moved to the other side of the plate cylinder 1 and is taken out, by emitting the air injected from the air supply means 17a, 17b, from one side of the plate cylinder 1.
