<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for warming up an exhaust emission control catalyst, shortening the time for warming up the exhaust emission control catalyst by an easy method and activating the exhaust emission control catalyst in an early stage. <P>SOLUTION: This system for warming up the exhaust emission control catalyst warms up the exhaust emission control catalyst 4 disposed in the exhaust channel 3 of an engine 2 provided with a supercharger 1, and includes an electric motor 1m connected to the turbine 1t of the supercharger 1, and a control means 5 operating the electric motor 1m when the exhaust emission control catalyst 4 is warmed up to thereby make the turbine 1t develop counter torque. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
