<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To judge whether a temperature reaches the sterilizing temperature in a usual operation mode by performing the usual operation mode to perform a test process for the purpose of solving the problem that it can be judged whether the conditions in a warming operation mode are satisfied in a high-pressure steam sterilizer constituted so that the test process for judging the remaining of air in a sterilizing tank in the warning operation mode performed before the usual operation mode, but it is not judged whether the temperature reaches the sterilizing temperature in the usual operation mode. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A drying process is performed at the end in the usual operation mode in a case that a sterilizing target article is sterilized: in the state that a test course is selected, a sterilizing mode is started by turning a start switch ON and the usual operation mode is completed through an exhaustion and drainage process in the state that the drying process is not performed.
