PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating agent for metallic fastener requiring no halogenated substances including vinyl chloride resin, having performances equivalent to or better than those of the conventional coating agents for metallic fasteners, and improving the conventionally unsatisfied blocking-resistance, thereby helping to enhance productivity and reduce environmental burden. SOLUTION: A coating agent can joint adjacent metallic fastener members of the metallic fastener, wherein a plurality of metallic fastener members are aligned. The coating agent includes 100 pts.wt of styrene-butadiene type rubber containing acid groups and 10-100 pts.wt of resin having a softening point of 120°C or above dissolved in an organic solvent.
