The saw blade (6) is prestressed at one end between the drive motor housing (5) and a clamping element (8), whose loosening permits longitudinal displacement of the saw blade. The displacement is carried out by a slider (22) with a transverse protrusion and by a rotary spiral disc (21) with a curved guide groove (25) engaged by the protrusion. The guide groove extends over an angle of at least 270 deg. The slider is firmly coupled to the spiral disc, but can rotate and be longitudinally displaced. The slider is coupled to the saw blade by fasteners.
