Soldering process to assemble a fuel cell stack by matched presentation of solder bead to ring-shaped solder interface

In a process to manufacture a fuel cell stack unit incorporating a soldered element, the element has a ring-shaped enclosed solder stopper bead. When the building element is soldered is contact with the soldering metal in a second interface. The solder stopper extends along the outer edge of the component and encircles an aperture for the passage of gas which forms part of the fuel cell system. The height of the solder stopper bead is essentially the same as that of the solder trade at the interface.
