A method and device for conjunction of device and gateway are disclosed by the embodiment of the invention, said method includes: the information of user device is obtained; a dummy device is established according to said information of user device; the gateway identifier is configured into said dummy device. A gateway is also disclosed by the embodiment of the invention, said gateway includes: an obtaining means for obtaining the information of user device; an establishment means for establishing a dummy device according to said information of user device; and a configuration means for configuring the gateway identifier into said dummy device. Through the method provided by the embodiment of the invention, it enables configuration management system to obtain the conjunction of said dummy device and said gateway.
