The device (10) has a piston (20) for limiting pressurized cylinder chambers (26, 28), and arranged in cylinders (14, 16) in a movable manner. The piston is movably coupled with flanges (30, 32) by a toothed belt (34). The cylinders are adjusted in an axial direction for changing cylinder chamber volume. The cylinders have a thread cooperating with a counter thread provided at a housing- and carrier structure (12). The cylinders form a stop bar for limiting stroke of the piston. A stop section is provided at closed front sides (44) of the cylinders.
