The cap (1) has a luminous and/or projection surface with a mask (6) in which symbols (A, B, C) are included. The surface has a film (4) including an opaque matrix (4a) in which refractive balls of the film are embedded. The beads are in optical contact with a transparent substrate of the film. Light sources (8) e.g. LED, produce light beams, which are directed in parallel. A lenticular screen film (7) is arranged between the film and the sources. The mask is formed as a strip pattern between the films. The symbols inform an operator about an operating element or a display.
