PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor light-emitting device which is a light source for a biological object to be observed, and performs illumination so as to recognize an object color of observation target portion in the biological object in detail.

SOLUTION: The semiconductor light-emitting device includes: a white light-emitting portion for emitting predetermined base white light based on light-emitting from the semiconductor light-emitting device for the biological object; and cyan color light-emitting portion for emitting predetermined cyan color light being a biological object color and having a hue in the Munsell notation system corresponding to a complementary color of the object color in R region or RP region and a hue in the Musell notation system in BG region or G region.
