<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to select a desired phrase (a word, a clause or the like) from predicted candidates without performing troublesome operation and to perform character input, in a character input device such as a cellphone terminal. <P>SOLUTION: In a continuous input style wherein after inputting a preceding phrase, a next phrase is input without performing operation of cursor movement, deletion or the like at all, when combining two phrases registered in a candidate dictionary database with high frequency and using it, the two phrases are registered in the candidate dictionary database as one phrase. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
