Electrodes 19 are respectively sealed in both the ends 31 and 33 of the glass tube 18, and bases 20 are respectively externally fitted to the outer sides of both the ends 31 and 33, and connected with the corresponding electrodes 19. The base 20A-1 mounted on the primary sealed side end 31, and the base 20B-1 mounted on the secondary sealed side end 33, are different in the colors of the entire surfaces from each other. The plurality of the cold-cathode tubes 15 are mounted side by side in a chassis 12. The mounting directions of the cold-cathode tubes 15 adjacent to each other are reversed from each other.
