PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mammography apparatus for easily and highly precisely obtaining a mamma positioning state including a compression pressure distribution, and to provide a photographing system using the apparatus. SOLUTION: When a pressing plate 38 is displaced so as to pressurize the mamma 88 against a photographing table 36, the compression pressure is detected by a pressure sensor 90 arranged on the photographing table 36, and the compression pressure distribution is displayed by a display part 40.
