PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear mechanism with a perpendicular or intersecting shaft, having simple construction for improving the meshing of gears with each other to improve the durability of the gears. SOLUTION: The face gear-pinion gear mechanism comprises a face gear 10 having a boss part 14, a pinion gear 20 meshing with the face gear 10 and having a shaft part 22 perpendicular to or intersecting with the boss part 14.
