PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display desired information in a display unit without making a construction complicated when displaying information on a display unit by a potential difference generated between its front surface and its rear surface and without making processing thereof complicated. SOLUTION: A display control device includes a holding part 23 holding the display unit from the front face and the rear face so as to be separated, conductive panels 30a and 30b whose patterns corresponding to information displayed on the display unit are formed of a conductive material and which are disposed at the holding part 23 so as to be separated respectively, two flat electrodes 21a and 21b for applying respective voltages to the conductive panels 30a and 30b disposed at the holding part 23 and a voltage control part 25 applying voltages different from each other to the flat electrodes 21a and 21b. The conductive panels 30a and 30b are disposed respectively so that the patterns are made to abut on the front face and the rear face of the display unit held by the holding part 23.
