PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding member of high performance for a refrigerant compressor by preventing a sliding part from seizure and/or wear. SOLUTION: The refrigerant compressor of a refrigerating cycle repeats liquefaction and evaporation of a refrigerant by compressing the refrigerant by a compressing means equipped with a compressing element having a slide component and a motor-driven element as a drive source for the compressing element. An intermediate layer consisting of Si or Ti is formed on the surface of the slide component and subjected to a DLC processing as an amorphous hard carbon coating to produce a DLC coating layer. Thus, the sliding part is prevented from seizing or wearing, and a sliding member of high performance can be provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
