<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor capable of performing an information transmission in consideration of circumstances of a reception side. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A selection part 105 selects an external apparatus 9 to be the transmission destination of content information. A transmission part 103 transmits transmission notice information notifying the transmission of the content information to the external apparatus 9 selected by the selection part 105. A reception part 104 receives response information to the transmission notice information from the external apparatus 9 which has received the transmission notice information. A response determination part 106 controls the transmission part 103 so as to transmit the content information to the external apparatus 9 selected by the selection part 105 when the response information indicates that the reception of the content information is possible, and executes alternate processing relating to the transmission of the content information when the response information indicates that the reception of the content information is impossible.
