<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved pumping plant wherein a pump device having a swirl prevention mechanism capable of providing an effective swirl prevention function which does not become significantly large even when the swirl prevention mechanism is arranged around the pump casing and the pump casing with the swirl prevention mechanism can be inserted from an opening part of a water tank for pump casing insertion. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The pump device is provided with the swirl prevention mechanism A arranged around the cylindrical pump casing C. The swirl prevention mechanism A is structured to be switchable between an operation posture in a ring shape when viewed from an axial direction of the pump casing C and a storing posture for approaching an outer circumferential wall h of the pump casing C.
