<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide device provided with rigidity and flexibility in the bending direction effective for securing an insertion passage of an insertion part of a transnasal endoscope. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The guide device 10 for a transnasal endoscope joins a guide sleeve 11 to a large diameter part 12, and the guide sleeve 11 comprises a rib part 15 at every specific angle in a circumferential direction and a thin part 16 integrally provided between rib parts 15 and 15 adjacent to each other and is expandable/contractible. A bend characteristic change area 20 where the rigidity in the bending direction is reduced is formed at a position near a distal end of the guide sleeve 11 and the bending characteristic change area 20 in the V shape comprises a plurality of recessed parts 21 provided for the rib part 15 in the axial line direction. When inserted in an insertion passage in the nasal cavity, directions are changed in the passage which is narrow and radically bent so that a distal end part of the guide tube 11 is bendable in the direction along the insertion passage.
