PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a lock strength without jumboizing a coupling device of a vehicle seat. SOLUTION: The coupling device (a reclining device 4) of the vehicle seat is provided with a ratchet 10, a guide 20, pawls 30, 30, and a slide cam 40. The ratchet 10 and the guide 20 are held with latched in an axis direction by a holding member 70 built on them across the axis direction. The holding member 70 allows a first seat part 71 facing in the axis direction to be applied to the outer board face of the guide 20, and is coupled with the ratchet 10 so that a plurality of insertion pieces 73 formed protrudingly in the axis direction could be respectively and axially inserted into a dint between convex parts 15a (a concave part 15b), which is formed on the outer periphery of a supporting part 15 of the ratchet 10 so as to radially protrude.
