<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control relay hardly affecting current detection by heat and electromagnetic noise generated by the separation/contact of a fixed contact and a movable contact. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The remote control relay includes: the fixed contact 11; the movable contact 12; an electromagnet device 2 driving the movable contact 12 in response to a control signal input from the outside, to separate from or contact the fixed contact 11; a current transformer 3 detecting a current flowing between the fixed contact 11 and the movable contact 12; and a housing 4 enclosing the fixed contact 11, movable contact 12, electromagnet device 2 and current transformer 3 respectively. The current transformer 3 is arranged on the opposite side to the fixed contact 11 and the movable contact 12 with the electromagnet device 2 placed in between in the housing 4. Compared with the case of arranging the current transformer 3 on the same side as the fixed contact 11 and movable contact 12 with respect to the electromagnet device 2, current detection is hardly affected by the heat and electromagnetic noise generated by the separation/contact of the fixed contact 11 and movable contact 12.
