PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and quick-response vehicle voice recognition system, while reducing the influence to the communication quality with external devices installed in information centers or the like. SOLUTION: This vehicle voice recognition system recognizes user's voice in an onboard terminal 200, checks the reliability of the voice recognition result, and uses this result as it is when the reliability exceeds a predetermined value. When the value is not exceeded, it transmits the voice feature values extracted in a voice processor 10 to the onboard processor 50 and a ground processor 60 through a transmitter receiver section 30. The onboard terminal 200 checks whether it is possible or not to recognize the presence of the onboard processor 50 through communication with the processor 50. When it is possible, the terminal 200 receives the voice recognition result from the onboard processor 50, but when not possible, it receives the voice recognition result from the ground processor 60.
