The present invention concerns a spacer which is embedded in a slab in order to cut down on use of concrete. The spacer is hollow, whereof the horizontal cross section in relation to the center (O) of the spacer is circular. As to the vertical cross section in relation to the center of the spacer, the vertical length at the center is longer than the horizontal length, and the central portion surrounding the center of the spacer is cylindrical, and the top and bottom of the spacer in relation to the central portion are symmetrically hemispherical or dome-shaped. A certain sized hole is formed in at least one of the top and bottom of the spacer and a protruding member which protrudes outward is formed around the circumference of the hole. |
