摘要 <p>An engine control apparatus is provided with an engine (1), an ignition device (16), a valve timing changing mechanism (4), an intake valve close timing detecting device (37), a supercharger (28) and a controller (27). The engine (1) achieves a Miller cycle by the valve timing changing mechanism (4) setting an intake valve close timing to occur after a bottom dead center timing. The controller (27) controls an ignition timing of the ignition device (16), the open timing of the intake valve (2) and the close timing of the intake valve (2). The controller (27) retards the ignition timing during supercharging and when a detected value of the intake valve close timing is earlier than a target value of the intake valve close timing by at least a prescribed value in comparison with a situation in which the detected value matches the target value of the intake valve close timing.</p>
