The assembly (40), has a fluid control element e.g. poppet (64), arranged inside a valve chamber. The element enables a transition between a seated position in which the element fluidly seals an opening (46) of the chamber and an unseated position in which the element unseals the opening. Two guide elements (80) are respectively arranged at opposite ends of the control element, where the guide elements maintain the control element in coaxial alignment with a longitudinal center axis during transitions between the seated and unseated positions.
