The suction roller (1) has a manhole opening ( 9.11,9.12) arranged at front side covers (8.1,8.2) opposite to each other in swearing situation, over which a cleaning device (10) is provided for applying a cleaning medium under pressure on a perforation (4) at an interior extent (5) of a roller shell (2) in an inner space (6).
