FIELD: instrumentation. ^ SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to technology and technique of gas presence control in liquid stream in the context of information and measuring methods during pipeline transportation. The method includes generation of electric pulses; shaping them into electric pulses of short duration about 10-7 s; short-duration electric pulses transformation by means of piezoelectric cell into mechanical pulses of ultrasonic frequency with their subsequent emission into gas-containing liquid stream at right angle to its flowing direction; reflecting decaying ultrasonic mechanical pulses onto piezoelectric cell and their transformation into electric pulses. Residual gas presence in liquid stream is determined according to attenuation level of these pulses. In this method, ultrasonic sine pulses are generated which pulses are transformed into short sine ultrasonic waves; time period from mechanical pulse emission into liquid till echo pulse arrival is measured; and according to the ratio of this value to threshold relative quantity of residual gas in liquid stream is controlled.
