FIELD: machine building. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to insulation of pipelines. The method of insulating external surface of pipeline proceeds like follows: an insulating tape is unwound from a reel and is wound on pipeline; the reel is fixed in the direction of rotation around the pipeline, while part of tape is wound on accumulating device enveloping the pipeline. ^ EFFECT: continuous winding of insulation tape on surface of pipeline due to fastening its ends during winding of tape off accumulating device. ^ 12 cl, 1 dwg
