<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present an image with less incompatibility to an external environment on a screen, without the need of directly measuring the position and direction of user's eyeballs. <P>SOLUTION: A viewpoint camera 1 is arranged in a position conjugate to the viewpoint 101 of the user 10. The viewpoint camera 1 is configured to capture an image in the direction of the screen 3 from the viewpoint 101 as a viewpoint image. A background camera 2 is configured to capture an environmental image lying behind the screen 3 as a background image. A projector 4 is arranged in a position conjugate to the viewpoint 101 and the viewpoint camera 1. The projector is configured to project a projection image formed by a processing part 5 on the screen 3. The processing part 5 is configured to make a correspondence between the background image and the viewpoint image and convert the background image to an image in the rear side of the screen 3 from the viewpoint 101.
