<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil in an internal combustion engine for preventing deterioration in performance, improving reliability, and reducing cost. <P>SOLUTION: A closed magnetic-circuit core of an ignition coil 1 for an internal combustion engine is constituted by: an almost T-shaped center core 6, which is inserted and passed through a cylindrical portion of a primary coil bobbin 2 and extended widely toward one edge face 6a; a first almost L-shaped side core portion 81 which passes the outer side of the primary coil bobbin 2 and part of which is welded with the widely extended edge face 6a of the center core 6 through a permanent magnet 7, and one side of which is bent outward; and a second almost L-shaped side core portion 82 which passes the outside of the primary coil bobbin 2 and part of which is welded with the other face 6b of the center core 6 while each edge thereof corresponding to both edge portions of the first side core portion 81 is welded, and one side of which is bent outward. Mutual jointing faces 80, 80, which were formed by welding both edge portions of the first side core portion 81 and the second side core portion 82, are made in parallel with respect to an axis L of the center core 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
