<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain a variation in an injection characteristic, and to enhance control responsiveness, in an injector 1 having a damper chamber 40. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This injector 1 has a cylinder 34 relatively sliding in the axial direction to a needle valve 3, and an upper side space of the needle valve 3 on the outer peripheral side of a cylinder 34 forms the damper chamber 40. The cylinder 34 has a stopper 43, and the damper chamber 40 is communicated with a working flow passage 23 via an orifice 44 arranged in a lower body 27. Thus, the inflow-outflow of fuel to the damper chamber 40 is performed by the orifice 44. Thus, since an inflow-outflow flow rate of the fuel to the damper chamber 40 is hardly fluctuated, the variation in the injection characteristic is restrained as a result. The needle valve 3 is regulated in lifting by the stopper 43, and the lifting can be stopped before the volume of the damper chamber 40 becomes zero.
