PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable cadaverine fermentation with a coryneform bacterium by using a genetic engineering technique, to carry out the cadaverine fermentation with a recombinant coryneform bacterium, and to isolate high-purity cadaverine from a fermentation liquid thereof. SOLUTION: The problems are solved by culturing a coryneform bacterium having an L-lysine decarboxylase activity, and at least either homoserine auxotrophy or S-(2-aminoethyl)-L-cysteine resistance, suitably combining concentration, addition of an organic solvent, filtration, crystallization, extraction, distillation etc., thereby producing cadaverine, cadaverine dihydrochloride or a cadaverine dicarboxylate from the culture solution.
