PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector unit and a connector improving wire harness routing performance without changing a functional module. SOLUTION: The connector unit 10 has a relay connector 1 and a mating connector 5. The relay connector 1 includes an adapter unit 4 positioning connection means 3b of the functional module 3 in the same direction as connection means 3a. In the mating connector 5, a second wire harness 8 corresponding to the connection means 3a, and a first wire harness 7 corresponding to a connection means 4d of the adapter unit 4, are mounted in two stages to one side face 6a of a connector housing 6.
