PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorption refrigerator of high efficiency capable of effectively recovering an external heat source. SOLUTION: This double-effect absorption refrigerator in which a first solution pump 8 and a low-temperature solution heat exchanger 6 are disposed in a pathway 16 for distributing a diluted solution from an absorber 1 to a low-temperature regenerator 3, and a second solution pump 9 and a high-temperature solution heat exchanger 7 are disposed in a pathway 20 for distributing the solution from the low-temperature regenerator 3 to a high-temperature regenerator 4 further includes a first drain heat recovering unit 11 for exchanging heat between an exhaust heat source after heating the high-temperature regenerator 4 and the solution from the low-temperature regenerator 3, and a second drain heat recovering unit 12 for exchanging heat with the diluted solution distributed to the low-temperature regenerator. The exhaust heat source successively flows from the first drain heat recovering unit 11 and the second drain heat recovering unit 12, a solution pathway 21 to the first drain heat recovering unit 11 is connected to the high-temperature regenerator 4 from the way of the pathway of the second solution pump 9 and the high-temperature solution heat exchanger 7 through a heated side of the first drain heat recovering unit 11, and the solution pathway 17 to the second drain heat recovering unit 12 is connected to the low-temperature regenerator 3 from the way of the pathway of the first solution pump 8 and the low-temperature solution heat exchanger 6 through a heated side of the second drain heat recovering unit 12.
