In an automatic antenna adjustment method, the transmitter (S) and a separate linear end stage (Q), present if needed, are controlled with regard to type of modulation and/or output power and/or frequency and/or power dissipation by the operating and control device (C) for the purpose of load adjustment. Automatic adjustment of the quality factor of an adjustment network (M) can also take place, with the purpose of ensuring compliance with the maximum permissible electrical limit values of the components used with regard to current and/or voltage. Compliance with the maximum permissible electrical limit values of the adjustment network (M) can also be ensured. In the method according to the invention, everything is automatically controlled in a novel fashion by the operating and control device (C) of the antenna adjustment system. Thus it is no longer the operator who carries out the necessary actions on the transmitter (S), and an adjustment device if needed, in a difficult and time-consuming manner. At the same time, secure control and avoidance of excessive voltages are ensured. |
