摘要 <p>Provided is a microdevice the position of which can be detected during fluorescence imaging of an object and which does not hinder the fluorescence imaging.  The microdevice used for operating a microobject in liquid is composed of at least one portion captured in the liquid by an electrostatic force, a magnetic force, a light pressure, a fluid pressure, or the like and at least one portion having a shape or mechanism suitable for the operation of the object.  The dimension in the X-Y direction of at least one of the portions is below 100 µm.  The microdevice has a fluorescence label (3) provided to at least one local region adequately far from the contact portion (2) of the microdevice in contact with the object (8).  Thus the position of the microdevice can be easily detected during fluorescence imaging, and thereby detection of the position and fluorescence imaging of the object (8) are both performed.  As a result, measurement of a weak force, the elastic modulus of a subcellular organelle, and so forth can be performed with high accuracy.</p>
