The brake (1) has brake linings (3) arranged in a lining groove of a brake caliper in a spring-loaded manner by suppression springs. A brake lining suppression bracket is supported at the caliper, and extends in an axial direction of a brake disc (2). A mounting opening (4) for insertion and removal of the linings and the springs is covered by a cover plate (8) that has a part independent of the springs and the bracket, where the plate has a condition in which the plate is brought into an operating position to cover the opening and another condition in which the plate is held in the position.
