<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low tank device which can completely prevent the intrusion of flushing water into an overflow pipe from a lower section of the overflow pipe in a hoisting operation by providing an inundation prevention section in the lower section of the overflow pipe, and which consequently can utilize buoyancy generated by air in the overflow pipe and increase a hoisting speed, in the hoisting operation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This low tank device comprises: a drain outlet which is provided in the bottom of a low tank for storing flushing water; the overflow pipe which has an outflow opening in a position to face the drain outlet, and which is supported in a vertically movable manner; and a valve body which is provided in the lower section of the overflow pipe. The low tank device controls the discharge of the flushing water from the drain outlet by the valve body by moving the overflow pipe upward and downward. The outflow opening is equipped with the inundation prevention section which prevents the flushing water from intruding into the overflow pipe from the outflow opening.
