<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beam dump with a dump target free from melting due to heat generated at collision of the charged particle beams or a floor loading the dump target free from deterioration. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The beam dump 10, 10', 30 for removing energy of the charged particle beams irradiated includes a dump target 11, 32 on which the charged particle beams are irradiated, a metal stand 12, 31 loading the dump target 11, 32, and a cooling means 13, 33, 34 mounted on the metal stand 12, 31.
