<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile fuel filter material which hardly produces a foreign matter, such as dropout lint from the filter material, and has enhanced durability, a high particle collection performance, a long filter life, and excellent handling properties. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The automobile fuel filter material comprises nonwoven cloth composed of a fiber wherein nylon 11 is arranged on at least its surface in the transverse cross-sectional form of the fiber. Particularly, the nylon 11 preferably contains monomers of less than 0.35%. Additionally, it is recommended to integrally bond the automobile fuel filter material with a reinforcing material made of synthetic plastic for use as a fuel filter.
