<p>A wobble plate-type, variable displacement compressor has a constant velocity joint mechanism equipped with an inner ring, an outer ring, and balls that are held between inner ring and outer ring guide races and that transmit power. A connecting structure for the outer ring and the aforementioned wobble plate is formed by providing multiple concave portions arranged circumferentially in one element, by partially plastically deforming the other element at locations corresponding to the concave portions such that it fits into the concave portions, and by fixing both elements with respect to each other in the axial direction and in the direction of rotation by means of said plastic deformation. With this wobble plate-type, variable displacement compressor using the distinctive constant velocity joint mechanism, the mechanism for connecting the wobble plate and the outer ring, in the mechanism that prevents rotation of the wobble plate, can be improved, as can productivity, and the cost and weight can be reduced.</p> |
