Provided is a display device which efficiently suppresses color unevenness in subpixel rendering. A display device (1000) is comprised of a subpixel precision image acquisition unit (101), an edge extraction unit (103), a color unevenness region specification unit (104), and an adaptive color unevenness suppression unit (105), and performs processing to suppress color unevenness based on which subpixel interval the edge position corresponds to. By applying the strong suppression process only in a region with conspicuous color unevenness, color unevenness can be satisfactorily suppressed without losing the feeling of high resolution.
