PASSIVE EJECTING APPARATUS FOR DISK OF DISK DRIVE

PURPOSE: A manual disc discharge apparatus of a disk drive is provided to install a gear assembly to be rotated in a horizontal direction in the input and output directions of a disc, thereby minimizing the thickness of a main chassis in which the gear assembly is installed. CONSTITUTION: In a main chassis(10), an emergency hole(18) is formed. A driving lever(60) installed to move in the input and output directions of a disc by a driving motor(20) installed in the main chassis. An eject-arm is pivotally installed in the main chassis. The eject-arm guides the input and output of the disc. The eject-arm is rotated to be interlocked with the movement of the driving lever. A releasing lever(50) is installed to be elastically supported in the main chassis. A gear-assembly(30) is pivotally installed in a direction which is parallel with input and output directions of the disc in the main chassis.
