PURPOSE: A plasma display panel apparatus is provided to reduce fabrication cost by removing transparent electrodes from scan and sustain electrodes. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel apparatus comprises a top substrate(10), a first electrode(12), a second electrode(13), a third electrode(23), a bottom substrate(20) and a barrier rib. The first and the second electrodes are arranged on the top substrate. The bottom substrate is arranged to face with the top substrate. The third electrode and the barrier rib are formed on the bottom substrate. The barrier rib has a horizontal barrier rib(22b). The horizontal barrier rib crosses with the third electrode. The horizontal barrier rib corresponds to a black matrix on the top substrate. The first electrode has first and second electrode lines, and first and second protruded electrodes. The first and the second electrode lines cross with the third electrode. The first electrode line is arranged in the vicinity of a discharge cell. The first protruded electrode is protruded toward the center of the discharge cell from the first electrode line. The second protruded electrode is protruded toward the horizontal barrier rib from the second electrode line. The black matrix is separated into first and second black matrixes. The first and the second black matrixes are arranged around the second protruded electrode. |
