PURPOSE: A battery pack and a charging method thereof are provided to secure stability through the charging of a battery with low current even at high and low temperatures, by controlling the charging current provided from a battery charger by itself. CONSTITUTION: A battery pack comprises a rechargeable battery(110) having a positive electrode and negative electrode; a charge-discharge switching device(120) consisting of a charge switching device(121) and a discharge switching device(122) which are electrically connected to a high current route of the battery; and a battery management unit(130) which is electrically connected to the charge-discharge switching device, sets a charge current limit value that the charge switching device can flows, and controls the charge current capacity of the charge switching device.
