PURPOSE: A malfunction check method of an EGR(Exhaust Gas Recirculation) system is provided to check the malfunction of an EGR system because of the difference between the intake exhaust temperature and the normal intake exhaust temperature the difference between the EGR exhaust temperature and the normal EGR exhaust temperature. CONSTITUTION: A malfunction check method of an EGR(Exhaust Gas Recirculation) system is composed of the steps of judging whether or not a vehicle is the normal condition(S20), judging whether using an EGR exhaust temperature sensor(S22), reading the intake exhaust temperature sensed in an intake exhaust temperature sensor(S24), reading the EGR exhaust temperature from a map in which the EGR exhaust temperature according to the current RPM of an engine and the amount of the fuel is saved(S26), calculating a first temperature difference which is the value that the EGR exhaust temperature is deducted from the intake exhaust temperature(S28), reading the first temperature difference from the map in which the limit temperature difference according to the current RPM of an engine and the amount of the fuel is saved(S30), and deciding that the malfunction is generated in the EGR system if the first temperature difference is over the first limit temperature difference. |
